SULTAN 2.ABDÜLHAMİD HAN EĞİTİM VE ARAŞTIRMA HASTANESİ

Our clinic has trained 65 General Surgery Specialists so far. Our clinic continues to provide services with 2 professors, 3 associate professors, 6 specialists and 5 assistants. In our 34-bed clinic where 15 nurses worked, 14936 outpatient clinics were performed in 2013, 1264 patients were hospitalized and treated, and 1114 operations were performed.

The Department of Prostology and Endoscopy of our clinic performs disease diagnosis and treatment endoscopy. Interventional procedures such as polypectomy and percutaneous gastrostomy can be performed. In the Department of Anorectal Physiology, gastrointestinal system manometric examinations, endoanal and endorectal ultrasonographic examinations and proctologic examinations can be performed.

In our clinic, all sorts of interventions and operations can be performed with advanced surgical technique and skill about upper and lower digestive system, liver and bile ducts, pancreas, breast and thyroid diseases and cancers. Patients requiring close follow-up after surgery are followed up at the Post-Operation Care Unit. There are 6 intensive care beds in this unit and mechanical ventilator support is available. It is possible to treat the patients who need to follow them by inserting them in 2 beds in separate isolation room.

During the academic year, Wednesday and Friday are planned as a theoretical training day. All clinical personnel attend the discussion and seminars are presented before working hours. In addition, case discussions, mortality and morbidity meetings and multi-disciplinary meetings in which other branches participate are held.
